| If you look at photos of the early Dipsea races, the Lone Tree is on a grassy slope by itself with the spring nearby. It's still the only redwood in the area, but now shares the slope with a forest of Douglas Fir from Farren's Rest all the way to the top of Sal's Hill. The Lone Tree is the massive redwood behind us here. |
