October 1, 2006 - Dipsea Demon's 100th Birthday

The background of this picture is the field next to the lake. Behind the camera, this low granite dome slopes down to a beautiful little creek. On the top of the dome are several pits like this one formed by Indians grinding acorns with a stone pestle. There are several sites along Papermill Creek in Samuel P. Taylor State Park in west Marin with similar pits.
